Terms & Conditions
1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies, all products are supplied on the following conditions to the exclusion of any terms or conditions stipulated by the Customer and or any representations, warranties or communications not expressly incorporated.
2. All transactions are strictly "Cash on delivery" unless previous written arrangements are made with Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies.
3. All goods remain the property of Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies until paid for in full.
4. Cheques shall not be regarded as payment until cleared by the customers bank.
5. Any dishonoured cheque will render the customer liable to a £25 bank charge.
6. Products supplied by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies will be charged at prices ruling on the day of delivery irrespective of the day of order. VAT, where applicable, will be added at the prevailing rate.
7. It is the customers sole responsibility to ensure that all oil tanks will accept the full quantity of product ordered.
8. It is the customers responsibility for providing safe and clear access for Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies vehicles and staff. Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies shall not be liable in respect of any injury, loss or damage of any kind and how so ever arising whilst on customers premises.
9. The insurable risk in the goods supplied shall pass to the customer when the customer takes delivery.
10. Customers are to accept Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies measurement of quantity through duly certified metering equipment.
11. Whilst every effort will be made to deliver to the time requested by the customer, Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies reserve the right to alter any load schedules according to operational needs.
12. The receipt of goods implies customers acceptance of these conditions which constitute a legally binding contract with Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies.
13. Where it has not been possible to deliver the full order because the ordered volume was significantly in excess of the tank's capacity to take the ordered volume, Semmens Oil Supplies reserves the right to amend the price per litre payable to reflect the appropriate price band for that volume of oil.
Online Quote & Buy Service
1. All details are stored on a secure server and will not be passed onto Third parties
2. All customers using our online 'Quote & Buy' service will be automatically signed up for Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies monthly newsletter. This newsletter is only sent once a month. There is an unsubscribe option if customers do not wish to recieve the newsletter.
3. All prices quoted on Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies website, are only guaranteed if the 'buy now' option is selected and paid for by Credit/debit card.
4. All Oil, Bottled Gas & Coal deliveries will be completed within 5 working days (subject to adverse weather and product availability). Customers will be contacted the day before by e mail.
5. If the restricted access option is not selected when the order is placed and Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies are unable to complete the delivery with a standard size Oil Tanker. The customer will be contacted and a requote will take place at an ammended Baby Tanker price.
6. All payments made by Business Credit Cards are subject to a 2% surcharge.
7. It is the customers responsibilty to ensure that Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies staff have safe access to deliver all products.
8. Online Winter Oil Competition
1. The prize of 250 litres of heating oil is non transferable into a cash alternative.
2. The draw will be made on the 1st December 2011 and the winner will be notified by the 24th December 2011.
3. The Entry into the competition is only available when heating oil has been purchased through our online 'Quote & Buy' Service.
4. Delivery of the prize will be made by 31st January 2012.
